What to Expect During the Inspection
For the Seller:
remove or kennel pets
leave access to attic, crawlspace, breaker panels, appliances, etc.
provide access instructions (unless arranged through the agent)
be prepared for a 2-3 hour inspection
turn off sensitive electronic equipment (some outlets will need to be reset during the inspection)
don’t sweat it! expect some deficiencies (no house is perfect)
For the Buyer:
Note taking is not necessary (detailed report will be available before the end of the day)
bring a tape measure (grab some quick measurements during the inspection)
be prepared for a 2-3 hour inspection (if attending)
don’t be afraid to ask questions
provide a payment method (on site or by phone)
don’t sweat it! expect some deficiencies (no house is perfect)
